How the Calculator Works
It multiplies the typical labor-hours for the package (from about 1.25 hours for an exterior wash and wax to about 10 hours for a ceramic coating with prep, on a sedan) by a vehicle-size factor and an estimated shop rate per labor-hour for your state, then adds product cost. State rates come from the BLS median wage for cleaners of vehicles and equipment, adjusted to 2026, times the markup a business needs. Mobile service adds 10–20%.
